Building on the ideas of place, home, and memory. I used clay to cast a combination of objects that identify the entrance to my current home. The numbers identify the entrance to homes and identify a specific place, similarly we are assigned numbers to identify our existence while inhabiting places. The numbers change as we move and migrate as do our experiences and identities. The bench is not uncommon as a place of rest when entering a home or garden, the one pictured is particularly weathered and has become part of the architecture of the home.
