Reading selected texts to make present the histories that society often wants to forget and ignore. Pushed into a corner- historically marginalized communities experienced violence, enslavement, erasure, etc. These histories are often pushed into corners while the people who lived through the experiences are asked to fit certain molds and roles. The intention of this work is to share stories that speak to collective memories and lived experiences, inviting the audience to engage with lesser known stories and hopefully reflect on their own relationships to these complicated histories.
